Kaizers Orchestra

Kaizers Orchestra, with their vibrant, theatrical alternative rock style, manage to transcend language barriers. With overwhelming success in the Scandinavian countries, the band have also won over a large number of fans across Europe. Even though their lyrics are in Norwegian, the fusion of Scandinavian folklore influences with Eastern European elements resonates deeply with their audience.

A decade after their legendary performance at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the band have reunited once again to embark on a tour of more than 55 shows, selling out their Norwegian dates in under 15 minutes. Following this resounding success, Kaizers Orchestra have announced a world tour for 2024-2025 that will include stops across Europe, including an exciting date in Barcelona.

The members of Kaizers Orchestra, Janove Ottesen, Geir Zahl, Terje Winterstø Røthing, Helge Risa, Rune Solheim and Øyvind Storesund, don’t limit themselves to conventional instruments in their compositions, but also incorporate an oil drum, an unconventional detail that gives their music a distinctive character.

Over their 13-year career, Kaizers Orchestra have released 8 studio albums, one of which was a 5-year project, as well as 5 live albums, several EPs and videos. Recently, the sextet have released new singles «Dine Gamle Dage Er Nå» and «Kaleidoskophimmel», which have been met with enthusiasm from critics and audiences alike.

The band are excited to explore what Kaizers Orchestra have to offer after a decade apart. «It’s really moving to be back together. We started this band when we were young, and now I feel like I’ve come back to my family», says Janove. «Our music has given us so many blessings. It’s given us wonderful lives, and we’re immensely grateful. We value our success and our lives more than ever!»
