Rata play Room 3 at Razzmatazz on Saturday 14 November. Doors at 8pm, on stage at 8.30. The show is sold out and no ticket price was published. It falls inside Curtcircuit, the touring series run by the Catalan live music venues association, now in its fourteenth year and spread across the whole calendar.
Rata are Daniel Sabater and Félix Esteban, a duo from Murcia who play drums and a bass split across several channels, with no guitar. Sabater came out of “Cómo quieres que me enfade”, the song he wrote during the pandemic that has ten million plays on Spotify; Esteban is a producer and the bass player in Walls.
The promoter’s listing says the duo are “preparing their first LP”, and it has been out for nearly six months: “No me quiero morir nunca” came on 17 April through Sony Music Spain, ten tracks. Before it came the “Niñato” EP —six songs, May 2025, still on BMG— and the single “Borracho”, from November 2025, which is what gives this tour its name.
The Borrachos Tour started on 2 October in Vigo and has gone through A Coruña, Granada, Seville, Pamplona and Madrid. Barcelona is the only Catalan stop: they arrive the day after playing Loco Club in Valencia, and the tour ends on 20 November at Sala Marte in Málaga.
Beni Dolores open the night, a Barcelona five-piece who call what they do “punkopop”. They are Marian Martínez and Mariona Ruiz on vocals and guitars, Jana Rissech on bass, Emilio Cano on drums and Èric Gil on keyboards. They were one of the three finalists in this year’s Sona9, the twenty-sixth edition, in a final held on 23 September in Plaça de Catalunya during La Mercè and won by Pla Moguda.
