Party Dozen’s Bandcamp page describes the Sydney duo as a project “loosely based around improvisation”: saxophonist Kirsty Tickle and percussionist Jonathan Boulet, who released “21 Bum Salute” on 6 November, their fifth album according to the band’s website. Ten tracks add up to just over thirty-two minutes: it opens with “Special Unit”, closes with “Age Of Fools”, and the longest is the four-minute “Euro Stomper”.
According to the credits, everything was written, composed and performed by the two of them, and Boulet also handled production, mixing and mastering. Four of the pieces came out ahead of the album: “Mad Rooter” in October 2025, “Special Unit” in May, “Euro Stomper” in September and “Full Powers” on 13 October. City Slang is putting it out on vinyl, clear vinyl, CD and digital.
The previous album, “Crime in Australia”, came out on Temporary Residence on 6 September 2024; before that they’d released “The Living Man” (2017), “Pray for Party Dozen” (2020) and “The Real Work” (2022).
