Maika Makovski releases “Live-Palau!” on 25 September. It’s the recording of the concert on 4 March at the Palau de la Música Catalana with which she celebrated her twenty-year career, out on CD digipack, double vinyl and digital edition.
The album collects around twenty songs. That night saw all five bands that have backed her throughout her career take the stage, along with some thirty guests. The first preview, released on 18 September, is “I Live in a Boat”.
It was recorded by Xavi Ollé, mixed by Paul Corkett and mastered by Shawn Joseph at Optimum Mastering. The photographs are by Sergio Blánquez and Noemí Elías Bascuñana, and the design by Bobbi Relac and Makovski herself.
The tour spans twenty cities, returning to many of the venues from her early years with her original band: David Martínez on drums, Juan Carlos Luque on bass and Bobbi Relac on guitar.
There are three dates in Catalonia: the Auditori in Vilafranca del Penedès on 25 September, Barcelona on the 26th as part of La Mercè, and the Cafè del Teatre in Lleida on 16 January 2027.
