Be Prog! My Friend returns to the Poble Espanyol with Soen and The Ocean headlining

Be Prog! My Friend celebrates its eighth edition — “Capítulo VIII” — on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 September at La Carpa del Poble Espanyol in Barcelona. Doors open at three in the afternoon, the full pass costs 120 €, and a day ticket 65 €. Organised by Madness Live, capacity is capped at 1,200 people.

Ten bands play. Sweden’s Soen headline, presenting “Reliance”, released on 16 January 2026, alongside Germany’s The Ocean. Rounding out the bill are Agent Fresco, Einar Solberg, Green Carnation, Rendezvous Point, Iotunn and The Dear Hunter, plus two Catalan bands, After Lapse and Serapis Project.

The festival began in 2014 at the same Poble Espanyol and has reached this point through pauses and format changes along the way. The line-up has always stayed within progressive rock and its branches, with no headliners from other genres. Serapis Project return to the city a month later: on 22 October they open for Eleine at Razzmatazz 3.
