Imperial Triumphant have signed to Metal Blade, the label announced on 4 November. The New York band have already finished tracking their first album for the label, but haven’t yet given a title or a release date.

Colin Marston, who has been recording them since their early days, recorded it and is mixing it. “Vile Luxury” (2018) came out on Gilead Media, and “Alphaville” (2020), “Spirit Of Ecstasy” (2022) and “Goldstar” (2025) on Century Media.

“We consider Metal Blade the top floor of the recording label tower and the view from up here is quite nice,” the band say. “New music is flowing and fans can expect fresh decadence from Imperial Triumphant sooner than later.”

Their 21-date tour with Knoll starts in Belfort on 13 November and ends in Glasgow on 6 December. In Spain they play Obon Fest in Bilbao on 28 November and Nazca in Madrid on the 29th; there’s no Catalan date. Steve Blanco, the band’s keyboardist and bassist, does come to Barcelona: he plays solo piano at El Forn de les Arts on 11 November.
