Shifting Paradigm Records · 6 November 2026
The title is tongue-in-cheek, the label says: “Delights” plays on the expectation of a set of breezy melodies. It’s the new album from Chicago trio Twin Talk, released by Shifting Paradigm Records on 6 November on LP, CD and digital. Eleven tracks fit into around forty-one minutes, and none runs much past five: the longest is closer “Similar Grit”.
It’s the same line-up as on all their previous records: Dustin Laurenzi on tenor sax, Katie Ernst on bass and vocals, and Andrew Green on drums and percussion. Laurenzi wrote eight of the eleven tracks; Ernst contributed “Northwest” and “Shadow Kid”, and Green “Mississippi”, a piece of under a minute. It was recorded on 3–5 November 2025; Steve Shirk engineered and mixed it at Shirk Studios, Carl Saff mastered it and David Woodruff handled the art and layout.
The trio debuted in 2013 with “Sightline”, originally credited to “Laurenzi/Ernst/Green”, and went on to release “Twin Talk” (2016) and “Weaver” (2019). Their previous album, “Twin Talk Live”, was also on Shifting Paradigm, out on 27 September 2024.
