The Michael Schenker Group play Sala 1 at Razzmatazz on Thursday 5 November, with Robin McAuley on vocals. Doors are at 7pm, a support act the venue hasn’t named yet goes on at 7.30pm, and MSG follow at 8.30pm. Advance tickets are €38.50, fees included. The show is 16+; younger fans can get in with a parent or legal guardian and a signed authorisation.
On vocals is Robin McAuley, with whom Schenker formed the McAuley Schenker Group in the eighties and made “Perfect Timing” in 1987, “Save Yourself” in 1989 and, in the early nineties, “M.S.G.”.
On the album the tour is promoting, “Don’t Sell Your Soul” (earMUSIC, 3 October 2025), McAuley isn’t the lead singer: that’s Erik Grönwall, formerly of Skid Row, with McAuley only appearing as a guest. Schenker co-produced it with Michael Voss; the line-up has Bodo Schopf on drums, Barend Courbois on bass and Steve Mann on guitar and keyboards. It’s the second of three albums for earMUSIC, a run that began in 2024 with “My Years With UFO”, on which Schenker re-recorded songs from his seventies years in UFO.
According to Razzmatazz’s listing, this is Schenker’s first Spanish tour with MSG in four years; in May 2025 he played Apolo on a tour devoted to his years in UFO. After Barcelona, the band play the Lion Rock Fest in León on Saturday 7 and Sala Santana 27 in Bilbao on Sunday 8.
