Hippotraktor + Cobra The Impaler — 5 May 2027, Razzmatazz 3 (Barcelona)

The only Catalan date on the two Belgian bands’ Iberian tour

Hippotraktor and Cobra The Impaler play Razzmatazz 3 on Wednesday 5 May 2027, doors at seven in the evening and tickets €23 in advance. It is the only Catalan date on a three-stop Iberian tour: the next night they are at the Rockville in Madrid and on the 7th at the Groove in Portugalete.

Hippotraktor arrive with “Annihilist”, which Pelagic Records release on 2 October. It is the third album by the quintet from Mechelen and there are seven tracks, among them “Builder of Eden” (5:41), sung by Loïc Rossetti, formerly the voice of The Ocean. The other two tasters out so far are “Oblivion Walker” (4:14) and “A Different Now” (5:46).

Chiaran Verheyden, the guitarist and the man who writes the music, says that this time he did not bring it all finished to rehearsal: “This time I brought the dish half-cooked, or even less. It worked rather well; I liked having the others involved earlier on.” With him are Stefan De Graef on vocals, Sander De Rom on guitar, Jakob Fiszer on bass and Lander De Nyn on drums.

Cobra The Impaler are from Ghent and formed in 2020. They debuted with “Colossal Gods” in 2022 and their second album, “Karma Collision”, came out on Listenable Records in 2024. The two bands have shared a bill before in Belgium, at the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels.
