ArcTanGent has announced Blood Incantation and Neurosis as the first two main-stage headliners for 2027. The festival runs from Thursday 19 to Saturday 21 August at Todenham Manor Farm, near Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire, with early entry on Wednesday 18 for four-day ticket holders. Blood Incantation close the Thursday and Neurosis the Saturday, and neither band has played it before.
The site is new. Until this year the festival was held at Fernhill Farm in Somerset, and the move was announced last August, when the owners of the farm decided they no longer wanted to host it.
Neurosis have returned to the stage and to new music with Aaron Turner, of Sumac and Isis, on vocals, and released “An Undying Love For A Burning World” in March. Blood Incantation arrive with “All Gates Open”, the soundtrack album tied to their documentary of the same name.
The first wave also brings a one-off progressive set from The Wildhearts, plus Slift, The Ocean, Messa, Conjurer, Holy Fawn, MØL, Psychonaut and Lowen, and Employed To Serve marking ten years of “The Warmth Of A Dying Sun”. The list is rounded out by If These Trees Could Talk, Crown Lands, Sadness, Smote, A Forest Of Stars and Crash Of Rhinos, among some forty more names.
“To have them along with Blood Incantation — a band it’s frankly criminal they haven’t played before — is the dream way to kick off a new edition of ArcTanGent,” says organiser and booker James Scarlett, who calls the move to the Cotswolds “the new chapter of ArcTanGent”. Super Early Bird tickets have sold out; Early Bird tickets are on sale at a twenty per cent discount.
