Tesseract + Unprocessed + The Callous Daoboys

TesseracT are a British progressive metal band formed in 2003. They’ve made quite a name for themselves in the progressive metal scene, blending things like djent and atmospheric rock. There have been a few line-up changes over the years, but basically they’re five guys who know how to play: Acle Kahney (guitar), Jay Postones (drums), James Monteith (guitar), Amos Williams (bass) and Daniel Tompkins (vocals).

The word «djent» sounds like something strange, but it basically refers to a way of playing guitar that sounds distorted and intricate, and which has become quite popular in modern progressive metal. TesseracT’s music sometimes sounds complicated, with odd rhythm changes and things like that. They also pay close attention to how everything sounds, as if obsessed with production details.

They released their debut album, «One», in 2011, and the progressive metal crowd applauded them. More albums followed, like «Altered State» (2013), «Polaris» (2015) and «Sonder» (2018). All these names sound like sci-fi movies, but they’re just the titles of their records. TesseracT have plenty of fans and have toured all over the world. Daniel Tompkins’ unique voice is also part of what makes them sound different. We’re talking about a progressive metal band that has earned its place.
