Steve Hackett will release his new studio album, «The Circus And The Nightwhale», on 16 February 2024 through InsideOut Music. It’s a concept album made up of 13 tracks. «The Circus And The Nightwhale» is the title he’s settled on.
The new album was recorded between tours in 2022 and 2023 at Siren Studios in the UK. He’s brought in illustrious guests including Roger King (keyboards, programming and orchestral arrangements), Rob Townsend (sax), Jonas Reingold (bass), Nad Sylvan (vocals), Craig Blundell (drums) and Amanda Lehmann on vocals. Nick D’Virgilio and Hugo Degenhardt return as guests. Finally, Steve’s brother, John Hackett, is back on flute.
The new album will be available to pre-order from 1 December 2023 in several different formats, including a limited CD+Blu-ray multimedia book (featuring 5.1 sound and 24-bit high-resolution stereo mixes), a standard CD jewelcase, 180g gatefold vinyl LP, and as a digital album. All editions feature the cover artwork by Denise Marsh. Something for every taste.
