Swiss trombonist Samuel Blaser plays two sets at Jamboree on Tuesday 17 November, at 7pm and 8.30pm, with Russ Lossing on piano, Masa Kamaguchi on double bass and Billy Mintz on drums. It’s the line-up from “Rosina”, the album Blaser released on 16 October on his own label, Blaser Music: nine tracks, previewed in August with the title track.
Lossing and Mintz had already recorded with him as a trio in 2023, on “Roundabout / Triple Dip”. The venue’s page, on the other hand, talks about “Early in the Mornin’”, a tribute to the blues that dates from 2018.
MasiMas Live is promoting the show. General admission is 20 euros, or 16 for members.
