PISS – you made me / skin on linen

Punk & Hardcore

Cover of “you made me / skin on linen”, by PISS

Sub Pop Records / Paper Bag Records · 30 October 2026

One of the fifteen tracks on “you made me / skin on linen” turns the transcript of an archival interview with Rote Zora, the German feminist group, into lyrics. It’s the first LP by PISS, the four-piece from Vancouver, Canada, and it came out on 30 October 2026 through Sub Pop Records worldwide and Paper Bag Records in Canada. Despite the slash, it’s a single album: Sub Pop presents it as the band’s debut. According to the label, the record portrays a childhood marked by structural, systemic and intimate violence. It’s available from the band’s Bandcamp digitally, on CD and cassette, and in two limited coloured-vinyl editions.

PISS are Taylor Zantingh (vocals), Tyler Paterson (guitar), Gavin Moya (bass) and Garreth Roberts (drums). According to Sub Pop, they recorded the album in January 2025 with Colin Stewart at Hive Creative Labs, having made their live debut in April 2024 at Red Gate, a DIY space in Vancouver. “i wanted to be a singer”, “time loop at hot slit”, “blocking a scene you can’t remember” and the track dedicated to Rote Zora were the advance singles. Before this LP, their Bandcamp only held “three demos”, three songs released on 4 February 2024.
