Alternative
Maybe Violet, the duo of Jordi Prats (guitar) and Monique van der Kolk (vocals), is recording a six-song EP sung entirely in Dutch, due in early 2027. It does not have a final title yet.
The two musicians met in Harvest, where they played alongside Jordi Amela, Álex Ojea, Roger Vilageliu and Toni Munné. They came back together in 2018 to start Maybe Violet, which has two albums to date: “For the Time Being” (2021) and “In a Few Words” (2025).
Van der Kolk gives the language itself as the reason: Dutch is the one she learned as a child. There is still no title, no exact date and no word on where it is being recorded.
