Josh Homme is putting on “Joshua Homme and Friends” again, a one-night show at the Wiltern in Los Angeles on 16 November in aid of the Sweet Stuff Foundation and CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort).
The bill has Beck, St. Vincent, The Kills, Norah Jones, Chad Smith, Andrew Watt and his Queens of the Stone Age bandmates Troy Van Leeuwen and Michael Shuman, plus “Weird Al” Yankovic and the magician Justin Willman. Jack Black presents an award, and the comedy comes from Bill Burr, Sarah Silverman, Dean Delray, Dan Soder and John McEnroe.
The Homme family set up the Sweet Stuff Foundation in 2013 to help career musicians and recording engineers, and their families, through illness and disability. The last edition of the show was on 20 March 2024 at the Belasco, with Dave Grohl and Beck.
The presale opens today at ten in the morning Pacific time with the code SWEET, and the general sale on Friday the 9th at the same hour, through Ticketmaster. Prices have not been announced.
