José González plays the Sala Gran at Paral·lel 62 on Wednesday 28 October, doors at half past seven and the show at half past eight. The tickets are sold out. The concert is part of Festival Empremtes and Last Tour is promoting it.
He comes alone, with voice and guitar, and with “Against the Dying of the Light” as the new record: his fifth studio album, thirteen tracks, released on 27 March this year. They are the first songs of his own he has put out since “Local Valley” (2021).
It is not the first time he has stood on this stage. On 26 April 2023 he was at Paral·lel 62 for the premiere of the documentary “Tiger in Paradise”, months before it reached the streaming platforms, and the evening was a screening, a conversation and a handful of songs. This time it is only the concert.
The Spanish run is four nights back to back: after Barcelona he plays La Rambleta in Valencia on the 29th, Sala Mamba! in Murcia on the 30th and the Cartuja Center in Seville on the 31st. Barcelona is the only Catalan stop.
Festival Empremtes is in its fourth year: thirty-nine concerts by thirty-seven artists across twelve Barcelona venues, from 11 January to 19 December.
