Elder have postponed the remaining dates of their North American fall tour. Bassist Jack Donovan is still in hospital in Portland with pneumonia that worsened partway through the run, which they were sharing with Blackwater Holylight and Blask.
The band had gone on without him, as a trio, before stopping altogether. Their statement of 24 September reads: “Jack’s struggle with a serious case of pneumonia is ongoing and he remains hospitalized in Portland. Although he’s getting the care he needs, his treatment is likely to continue for a number of days to weeks.”
The late-September and early-October stops go — Seattle, Salt Lake City, Denver, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, New York and Boston — and none has been rescheduled yet. Ticketholders, the band says, will be told when new dates exist; refunds are available at the original point of sale.
The European and UK dates in February 2027, with Temple Fang and with Rezn on the UK leg, are not reported as affected.
