El Gavira play Jamboree Sala 1 on Saturday 31 October at 10.30pm, in the slot the venue runs to 11.59pm. General admission is €15 and members pay €11. MasiMas Live are promoting. The show is standing and over-18s only.
The project is Pablo Gavira Marcos, who sings and plays guitar and cajón, with Gabriel Antonio Escurra on drums.
They arrive with “Plaza Bohemia”, their third record, released on 27 March this year through All Nighters. There are twelve songs, among them “Libro Guinnes de los Récords”, “Canción que te Escribí Durmiendo”, “Que Te Pires” and “Sigue Dormido”. Before it came “Pus” (2022) and “Música Chiste, Música Triste” (2023), which is where the venue places their blend of rock, pop-punk and noise-pop.
All Nighters, the label, describe the project as “the loudspeaker through which Pablo Gavira Marcos explains the world to himself and to everyone else”, with pop melodies dirtied by a punk attitude. Jamboree bills the show as pop-rock. No support act is listed.
