Classic Rock

Kelly Hansen is the new singer of The Dead Daisies. The band, billed from now on as The Dead Daisies featuring Kelly Hansen, has released the single “Lift Me Up” and its video at the same time, the first with the new voice.
Hansen fronted Foreigner for twenty years and before that was in Hurricane. He replaces John Corabi, who had been in the band twice: from 2015 to 2019 and from 2023 to 2026. The line-up is completed by David Lowy on rhythm guitar, Doug Aldrich on lead, Tommy Clufetos on drums and Jimi Crutchley, who comes from The Quireboys, on bass: he is new too.
“When I left Foreigner after 20 great years, I told everybody I wasn’t ‘retiring’ just moving on to other things,” Hansen says. “This project gives me the opportunity to stretch out with some new melodies, a new vibe and fresh energy. We’re gonna rock it!” Aldrich says “Lift Me Up” “started off as a dead simple guitar riff and heavy groove” and that the melody grew from there as the song progressed. Lowy puts it shorter: “Kelly has slotted in and it just feels right.”
The band spends the rest of the year in the studio finishing the album and goes out on the road in 2027. The European and UK leg runs from 4 to 21 March 2027, twelve dates from Bochum to Frankfurt taking in London, Paris, Milan, Prague and Berlin; the North American leg runs from 30 April to 15 May. There is no Spanish date.
