Cult of Luna play Room 1 at Razzmatazz on Sunday 28 February 2027, with Youth Code from the United States and France’s BRUIT ≤ opening the night. Route Resurrection is promoting it, and it is the Swedes’ only indoor date in Spain on the whole European tour.
They are bringing “In The Shadow Of Your Shadow”, out on 6 November through Red Creek and the band’s tenth album. It has nine tracks, with guest contributions from Joe Duplantier of Gojira and David Eugene Edwards, of 16 Horsepower and Wovenhand. The label presents it as the darkest record to carry their name, twenty-five years after the first.
The third single came out today: “The Rift”, which appears on the single in a different version from the album one. Before it they had released the title track, on 11 June, and “A Way Back”.
The group came together in Umeå in 1998 around guitarist and singer Johannes Persson, the only constant member; today they are six. What they bring is the same mix of sludge, post-rock and post-metal as ever.
No price has been published. Route Resurrection says the early-bird tickets are sold out and that general sale opened on 4 September at 11:00; it has not given door or stage times either.
