Chameleons, Mark Burgess’s Manchester post-punk band, play Sala 2 at Razzmatazz on Sunday 8 November. They’re on at 8.30pm, after a support act the venue has yet to name.
They’re touring “Arctic Moon”, the band’s first studio album since “Why Call It Anything” in 2001. Metropolis Records released it on 12 September 2025: seven songs, with Burgess on vocals and bass, Reg Smithies and Stephen Rice on guitars, Danny Ashberry on keyboards and Todd Demma on drums. For the first time there are real strings, on a couple of songs, arranged and played by Pete Whitfield at Real Strings in Manchester. “There’s an obvious maturity to the songwriting on this record,” Burgess said when it was announced.
In Spain the tour takes in Bilbao, Seville, Granada, Valencia, Madrid and Barcelona, the only date in Catalonia. Entry is for over-16s; younger fans can attend with a parent or legal guardian and a signed authorisation.
