Blue Medusa, the band Alissa White-Gluz put together after leaving Arch Enemy, made their live debut on 4 September at Huxleys Neue Welt in Berlin, as one of the headliners of the Corrupted Blood Club Show alongside Kreator and Heaven Shall Burn. They played four songs, and the full night’s livestream drew 295,000 unique viewers on Twitch.
The line-up is entirely new and all-female: White-Gluz on vocals, Alyssa Day (Mindscar, Absentia) and Dani Sophia (ex-Till Lindemann) on guitars, Alicia Vigil (DragonForce, Vigil of War) on bass, and Delaney Jaster (Stitched Up Heart) on drums.
White-Gluz got her start in Montreal with The Agonist, a band she co-founded in 2004 where she already alternated growls and clean vocals. In 2014 she replaced Angela Gossow in Arch Enemy — Gossow had fronted the band for thirteen years and stayed on as manager — and recorded four albums with them, from «War Eternal» (2014) to «Blood Dynasty» (2025). Her last show with the band was on 15 November 2025 in Düsseldorf, with no details given at the time about what would come next.
Blue Medusa have released three singles so far — «Crocodile», «Checkmate» and «Flying Monkey» — with no record announced. White-Gluz, Alyssa Day and Dani Sophia are the fixed members; Alicia Vigil and Delaney Jaster are credited as the touring line-up for this year’s shows.
