Big Big Train make their Spanish debut with «Woodcut» and a good two hours of material

Big Big Train play Razzmatazz 2 on Wednesday 7 October, at 19:15, in a Neverland Concerts date. It’s their first show in Spain in a thirty-six-year career, and they’ve announced it will run over two hours.

They bring “Woodcut”, released on 6 February 2026 through InsideOut: it’s the band’s sixteenth album and their first full-length concept work, about creativity, sacrifice and the thin line separating inspiration from madness. The band has said the set will also bring back early-era pieces they haven’t played in over twenty-five years.

Formed in 1990, Big Big Train have kept alive the English prog tradition — Genesis’s, and British pastoralism’s — with brass, violin and lyrics about specific people and trades. The band went through the death of singer David Longdon, on 20 November 2021, while he was still a member; Italian singer Alberto Bravin took over in 2022, and since then they’ve racked up around sixty shows across Europe and North America. Alongside Bravin are founder Gregory Spawton and drummer Nick D’Virgilio, a Spock’s Beard veteran.
