Band Of Horses play Room 1 at Razzmatazz on Wednesday 21 October, starting at half past eight in the evening. Advance tickets are €56 with fees included, sold through Live Nation and Ticketmaster, and the show is for over-sixteens or for minors accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with written consent.
The show is billed as “20 Years Of Everything All The Time” and the format is “An Evening With”: no support act, and a longer set that runs across the band’s two decades.
“Everything All the Time” came out on 21 March 2006 on Sub Pop, produced by Phil Ek at Avast studios in Seattle, and it is the album of “The Funeral”. On 20 March this year the label put out a twentieth-anniversary edition of twenty-four tracks, with a second LP gathering the 2005 tour EP, unreleased studio and live takes, “The End’s Not Near” —the song heard on “The O.C.”— and a demo of “The Funeral”. Ek wrote the liner notes.
Ben Bridwell put the band together in Seattle in 2004, as his near-decade in Carissa’s Wierd was ending, and the group has released six studio albums since. The last one is “Things Are Great”, from 2022.
They have played Barcelona five times, according to setlist.fm’s records, and the three indoor shows all went to Apolo: 9 February 2011, 8 September 2017 and 18 November 2022. The other two were at Parc del Fòrum, at Primavera Sound in 2007 and Cruïlla in 2014. This is their first time at Razzmatazz.
The European run goes from 25 September in Stockholm to 22 October at La Riviera in Madrid, which is the night after Barcelona and the last show of the tour. There is no other Catalan date.
