Atomic Kings release “Too” on 19 October. It’s the band’s second album, nine songs, sold on CD, 180-gram vinyl and digitally from their own site: no label is listed.
The bassist is Greg Chaisson, who played in Badlands with Jake E. Lee and Ray Gillen between 1988 and 1993 and later did a stint in Red Dragon Cartel. He is joined by Ken Ronk on vocals, Ryan McKay on guitar — formerly of Crash Street Kids and Louis Prima Jr. and the Witnesses — and Jimi Taft on drums, formerly of Ragdoll.
The songs are “Burning”, “Don’t Say You Love Me”, “Hard Life”, “I Alone”, “I’m A Mover”, “Lady J”, “Learn To Fight”, “Save Me” and “They Remain”. The advance track is “I’m A Mover”, which already has a video.
The press release places the record between Free, Bad Company, Grand Funk Railroad, Led Zeppelin and Robin Trower on one side and Rival Sons and Dirty Money on the other. No producer has been named.
