Amorphis and Insomnium bring the Borderland Tour to the Apolo, with Unto Others opening

Amorphis and Insomnium share a tour and play Sala Apolo on Tuesday 9 February 2027, with America’s Unto Others opening the night. Doors at half past five in the afternoon, tickets 40 €, with Madness Live.

It’s the Borderland Tour, with which the Finns present “Borderland”, released on 26 September 2025 through Reigning Phoenix Music and their first since “Halo” (2022). Tomi Joutsen has sung for Amorphis since 2005, the band’s longest and most stable era.

Insomnium come from Joensuu and have played melodic death metal since the mid-nineties. Their catalogue includes “Winter’s Gate”, a single forty-minute piece spread across seven tracks.

“Tales from the Thousand Lakes” (1994) was the album where Amorphis grafted keyboards, folk melodies and Kalevala texts onto a death metal that until then had gone a different way, and “Elegy” (1996) added the clean vocals. Three decades later, Finnish folk poetry remains the source of their lyrics.
