A Perfect Circle have released “To Whom It May Concern”, the second single they have put out this year after “Starless”, and have announced a thirty-two-date North American tour that opens on 13 April 2027 at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre in Vancouver and closes on 13 June in Phoenix. Tickets go on sale on Friday 2 October.
The song was written this year and recorded at Billy Howerdel’s Lankershim Ranch Studio in Studio City. He produced it himself, Matty Green — who has worked with U2, Florence + the Machine and TV on the Radio — mixed it, and Josh Freese plays drums. Howerdel puts it this way: “It’s exciting to finally get some new music out into the world, and seeing ‘Starless’ reach No. 1 at rock radio this week has made it even sweeter!”
Puscifer, Maynard James Keenan’s other band, will open all the Canadian dates and the Detroit show, from 13 to 25 April; The Cult take the rest of the North American run, from 27 April to 13 June. There are stops at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, the Hollywood Bowl, the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and two nights at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas. Keenan chips in: “Very much looking forward to pulling double duty through Canada with A Perfect Circle and Puscifer. Been way, way too long. New tunes, new dance moves, new hair hats.”
Before that, both bands spend the autumn in Latin America, Australia, New Zealand and Japan, closing on 19 December in Honolulu. The band, formed by Howerdel and Keenan in 1999, has not released a studio album since “Eat the Elephant” (2018), and the announcement mentions no new one. None of the dates announced are in Europe.
