Rush will play five nights at Sphere in Las Vegas in May 2027: the 21st, 23rd, 26th, 28th and 30th. Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson announced the residency, called “Elevate From The Norm”, today. Each night they’ll play “2112” and “Moving Pictures” in full, plus other songs from across their catalogue.
“When I first heard of Sphere, I thought to myself, ‘wow, what a shame that RUSH is no longer touring, because this venue sounds tailor made for the kind of visual attitude with which we have always designed our shows,’” says Lee. “But life is nothing if not surprising and now, here we are, living and touring in the present tense.”
The line-up is the same four as on the Fifty Something tour: Lee on bass, keys and vocals, Lifeson on guitar, German drummer Anika Nilles and keyboardist Loren Gold. At Sphere they’ll bring an expanded version of the tour production, with new visuals made for the screen that wraps around the audience.
Fifty Something, Rush’s first tour in more than a decade, opened in Los Angeles on 7 June and has sold over a million tickets. In early 2027 it heads to South America and Europe, where the band haven’t played since 2013.
The artist presale opens on Wednesday 11 November at 10am Pacific time (7pm in Catalonia), and general sale follows on Friday the 13th at the same time. VIP and travel packages go on sale first, on Friday the 6th, in a two-hour window for RUSH Backstage and newsletter subscribers.
