Stealing The Fire, the trio from Norwich, England, released “Roadmaps And Rituals” on 31 July 2026. According to the band, it’s their fourth full-length album, a self-release of seven tracks sold digitally on their Bandcamp. It was recorded between 2023 and 2026 at Seaplane Studio, where it was also mastered; Chris Bond produced it and arranged it with Tim Lane. The band are Saffron Paffron (vocals), Tim Lane (guitars, bass and keyboards) and Chris Bond (synthesisers); the music is by Lane and the lyrics by Bond.

According to the band’s introduction, the album draws on the traditions and folklore of rural England. “The Debutante” is based on Leonora Carrington’s short story of the same name; “Dancing With the White Bear” is dedicated to the artist and occultist Austin Osman Spare, and is followed by “Zos Kia (Temporary Bliss)”, an instrumental about his magical system; “Roadside Shrines” tells a science-fiction story about a comet exploding in 1908. The previous album listed on their Bandcamp, “A Raven For A Dove”, came out on 1 July 2023.
