Source release “Resurgence” on 15 January 2027, with no label behind it. It is the fifth album by the trio from Boulder, Colorado, and runs to twelve tracks opened by “Resurgence Pt. 1” and closed by “Resurgence Pt. 2”.
“What Remains” is the second track known from it, after “Stimulus”, which they put out on its own in August. “‘What Remains’ asks the question: what is left when all hope is lost? When everything I’ve believed is shattered, what remains?” the band say of it.
The line-up is Benjamin Gleason, who sings and plays guitars and keyboards; Justin Mirarck on drums and percussion; and Pascal Faurie on bass. Gleason produced it and Mirarck engineered it at Cymatic Sounds Studios; both are credited with the mix, Tom Capeck mastered it and Mike Gamble did the artwork.
Of the four earlier albums, “Return To Nothing” (2016) and “Totality” (2019) came out on Pavement Entertainment, and “Ethereal Self” (2021) and “Emergence” (2023) they released themselves.
The album has already been heard in full once: on 25 April they played it from end to end at the Nomad Playhouse in Boulder, on a night billed as the only chance to hear it until it came out “later in 2026”. That “later” has ended up being January 2027.
