Domkraft have released “Aurora”, the third and final advance from “Night Songs”, which Magnetic Eye release on 20 November. It is the Stockholm trio’s fifth album and it has seven tracks.
The label explains where it comes from: guitarist Martin Widholm went through a medical crisis and several operations in 2025, and the band started writing while he recovered. The songs come out of those months, and the title is literal: “Night Songs” is about the nights — fear first, and then a relief the label is careful to call cautious.
“Aurora” runs five minutes and thirty-three seconds and turns on two riffs. “One sharp and airy, the other gravelly, muddy and downright dirty,” says Martin Wegeland, the singer and bassist. “It connects all our albums into one track.” The two earlier advances were “Void Runner”, on 18 August, and the seven-minute “Eclipse (Outlast the Night)”, in September.
The line-up is unchanged: Wegeland on vocals and bass, Widholm on guitar and Anders Dahlgren on drums. David Castillo recorded the album at Studio Gröndahl in Stockholm, and Karl Daniel Lidén mixed and mastered it.
