Alternative

“Azure”, the first David Caress album, came out on Friday and can be heard in full. David Caress is the new project of Dallas Seger, founder of the alternative metal trio Manic Abraxas and owner and luthier of Seger Guitars, in Maine.
It is twelve songs written, performed and recorded by Seger on his own, with additional strings by Tom Bennett and additional arrangements by Justin Hamm. Steve Austin of Today Is The Day mixed and mastered it at his Austin Enterprise studio; Bennett is also in that band.
The material runs through the post-punk, new wave and electronic music of the late seventies and early eighties, and on the title track Seger sings: “How can eyes so cold hold such warmth? How can clear blue sky promise storm?”
For now it is only on the project’s Bandcamp page, digitally and for sale. Their press agency says a video from the record is being finished.
