Ignite will release “Still Wide Awake” on 15 January 2027 and on 9 October they put out two songs from it with videos: the title track and “Guilty Wounds”. It comes out on 93rpm, the label they have set up themselves, with Merchcowboy.
“It’s a song about not settling for the status quo, recognizing that no one is coming to save us, and taking responsibility for ourselves and each other instead of sleepwalking through life,” singer Eli Santana says of the title track.
There are ten tracks and one has a guest: Andrew Neufeld of Comeback Kid sings on “Done Digging The Grave”. It is the second album with Santana, who joined the band replacing Zoli Téglás, and the follow-up to the self-titled record of 2022.
In November they play twenty European dates with Cancer Bats, from the 1st in Maastricht to the 21st in Chemnitz. None of them is in Spain.
