The Mars Volta have released “Voice In My Knives / Poseedora De Mi Sombra”, the third preview of “Lucro Sucio; Unfinished Business”, the live album out on 20 November on InsideOut with thirteen tracks.

It is the band’s first official live record since “Scabdates”, from October 2005. The label does not present it as a straight concert document: it calls it a deep reinterpretation of “Lucro sucio; Los ojos del vacío”, the album from 11 April 2025. The takes come from the 2025 tour, and which ones made the cut was put to a fan vote run by the label.

Seven musicians play on it: Cedric Bixler-Zavala on vocals, Omar Rodríguez-López on guitar, Teresa Suarez also on vocals, Eva Gardner on bass, Philo Tsoungui on drums, Marcel Rodríguez-López on keyboards and percussion and Leo Genovese on keyboards and saxophone.

The date has moved along the way. When the album was announced in July, it was given as 4 September digitally and 16 October physically; InsideOut and the streaming platforms now date both as 20 November. No reason has been given.
