Boss Keloid release “Float & Aperture” on 23 October through Church Road Records and have put out “Pedestal”, the second track heard from it after “Landslide”. It is the Wigan quartet’s sixth album and their first since “Family The Smiling Thrush”, which came out on 4 June 2021 on Ripple Music: five years and four months between the two.
Seven tracks: “Breeze”, “Pedestal”, “Landslide”, “Weight”, “Aros”, “Accord” and “Sanguine”. The band is Alex Hurst on vocals and guitar, Paul Swarbrick on guitar, Liam Pendlebury-Green on bass and Ste Arands on drums and percussion. Church Road are issuing it as a double LP.
“The lyrics to Pedestal explore both the positive and negative sides of isolation, as well as its causes and effects,” the band say, describing the sessions as more collaborative, experimental and challenging than ever. No tour dates have been announced.
