Alcest will release “Live at Hellfest 2022” on 4 December through Nuclear Blast, recorded during their set at the French festival in June 2022. The label presents it as the band’s first official live album.
It comes out digitally on 4 December and physically in a limited double vinyl edition. There are eight tracks: “Les jardins de minuit”, “Protection”, “Sapphire”, “Écailles de lune – Part 2”, “Autre temps”, “Oiseaux de proie”, “Kodama” and “Délivrance”.
The preview is “Protection (Live At Hellfest 2022)”, released with the announcement in audio and with video of the performance.
The set list carries nothing from “Les Chants de l’Aurore”, because that album came out in June 2024, two years after the show.
The band is currently in the United States as special guest on Mastodon’s autumn tour, with Deafheaven on the same bill. Four and a half years will have passed between the concert and the record.
