Molly Hatchet release “Lost Horizon” on 27 November, their first studio album since “Justice”, from 2010. It runs to twelve tracks and comes out through Steamhammer as a digipak, a double vinyl and a digital edition. This week’s advance single is “Once A Gambler”.

They recorded it in Studio 2 at Abbey Road in London. “We used the same studio and the exact same microphones that Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr had,” guitarist Bobby Ingram says. “In Studio 2, to be precise — that’s exactly where The Beatles worked 60 years ago.”

The current line-up is Ingram on lead guitars, John Galvin on keyboards, Tim Lindsey on bass, Garrett Ramsden on drums and Parker Lee on vocals. Not one of the band’s original line-up is still alive, and nor are the second and third singers.
