Buddy Guy’s team announced on 1 October that the guitarist has a new studio album coming in 2027. Steve Jordan produces, with Willie Weeks, Isaiah Sharkey and Ivan Neville playing and Kim Wilson guesting. No title, no track listing, no date.

The announcement lands in the same week as two big nights: Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival in Austin in late September, and the 1 October concert at Radio City Music Hall in New York celebrating the ninety years Guy turned on 30 July. Several of the musicians on the record were there too.

His last album, “Ain’t Done With The Blues”, came out on 30 July 2025 with Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton, Joe Bonamassa, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram and the Blind Boys of Alabama among the guests.
