Paul McCartney releases an expanded edition of “The Boys of Dungeon Lane” on 7 October on streaming and 9 December physically. He adds three songs that were not on the record: “City Fox”, “One Night Stand” and “Chelsea Boots”.
There is also a new version of “Home to Us”, the duet with Ringo Starr that was already on the original album: it is a flip mix that swaps over the parts each of them sang.
The physical edition comes as a double orange and blue marbled vinyl with a zoetrope etching. The cover is a screen-printed collage by Kate Gibb made from more than a hundred images from McCartney’s personal archive.
The original album had come out on 29 May this year, went to number one on the British chart and is up for the Mercury Prize. McCartney’s previous record was “McCartney III”, from 2020.
