Breach release their self-titled first EP on 30 October through Greyscale Records. It holds six tracks — “COLD”, “EPHEMERAL”, “PARASITE”, “CAVE IN”, “WHEN HOPE DIES” and “CONTAIN” — and the first of them is out now.
The Canadians had debuted on 19 August with “Parasite” as they signed to Greyscale. There are five of them: Luke Snider on vocals, Cole Hardy and Stuart Ross — of Comeback Kid and Misery Signals — on guitars, Kyle Marchant on bass and Terrance Pettitt on drums. Snider, Hardy and Marchant came together in 2024 after a decade of crossing paths in other projects.
“‘COLD’ is about confronting the cycle of harm being passed on,” the band says of the single. “About the terrifying realization that being hurt doesn’t make you incapable of hurting others. And that, at some point, you have to decide whether you’re going to carry the pain you were given, or finally put it down before it becomes someone else’s.”
