«Bowie’s Vision» is now streaming. It’s the second track from «Return to the Red Planet», the record Rick Wakeman releases 16 October via Madfish Music.
The track is a tribute to David Bowie, with whom Wakeman worked early in his career: the piano on «Life on Mars?» is his, and he also played on «Space Oddity».
The record was recorded between August 2025 and January this year with his English Rock Ensemble: Lee Pomeroy on bass, Dave Colquhoun on guitar, Adam Falkner on drums and Mollie Marriott on vocals. The first preview, «The Jezero Crater», came out on 31 July.
The title nods to «The Red Planet» (2020), Wakeman’s record dedicated to Mars, on which every track is named after a geographical feature of the planet.
