Sleeve of The Mosaic Window's “Answered Prayers”, out on 13 November 2026 through Vesperian and Metal Blade

“Answered Prayers” comes out on 13 November through Vesperian, the Metal Blade imprint, and runs to ten tracks. The second advance single, “Lightning Be Thy Guide”, is out now; the first was “What Sage Could Not Cleanse”.

The Mosaic Window is the solo project of Andrew Steven Brown, who signs himself Skeletonhammer, plays in Bone Abduction and works out of Los Angeles. The session drums are by Dmitry Kim, who also plays with Jinjer, and the record was mixed and mastered by Alex Sedin at Ghostalgy Productions.

The label presents the album as a deliberate return to the roots — the first and second waves of black metal, “cold, fast, melodic and uncompromising” — leaving behind the polished hybrid of death and black metal with progressive touches that was 2024’s “Hemasanctum”. Of the new single it says it is “a mainly mid-tempo, dynamic piece that trades sheer velocity for weight and atmosphere, without losing any of the record’s bite”.

The concept is a poisoned world that can only be put right by erasing humankind and retroactively preventing industrialisation.

The running order opens with “Premonition Of The Prophecy” and closes with “Devotion To My Burning Desire”.
