Sari Schorr has unveiled “Running Wild”, the title track of the album out 9 October in Europe and 30 October in the United States through Provogue Records and Artone Label Group. It’s the second preview and the second track on the album, after “Mr. In The Middle”, the opening track.
The song was the first she wrote for the album. “I was in an intensely prolific period when we started writing the album,” says the New York-born singer. “‘Running Wild’ was the first song we wrote, and it lit the fuse for everything that came after.”
“It’s about the tension between desire and control: wanting someone intensely without trying to contain them,” she adds about the lyrics. “Passion needs freedom to stay alive; hold it too tight and you risk smothering the very thing that drew you in.”
She made the video with director Kee Koo, and it’s the second one they shot: the first version never came out. “Instead of telling the story too literally, we wanted to capture the feeling,” Schorr explains. “We chased the atmosphere more than perfection.”
The European tour promoting the album is forty-six dates, starting 29 September at The Lexington in London and ending 29 November. None are in Spain.
