Master Boot Record and Fulci play Razzmatazz 3, on Carrer de Pamplona, on Saturday 7 November, with doors at half past six in the evening. Tickets are €25 and sold by Madness Live, which warns that only the last few are left. The Milanese act arottenbit open, and they do every date of the tour. The listing gives no stage time and no running order: the two bands are billed as shared headliners.

It is the tour’s only Spanish date. The run goes from 5 November, in Lyon, to 12 December, in Aarau — thirty-three nights across France, the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany, Scandinavia, the Baltics and central Europe. Barcelona falls on the third day.

They arrive with “Computer Metal”, out on 30 October through Metal Blade, eight days before the show. It holds ten tracks named after hardware and system commands: “Dot Matrix”, “Command Prompt”, “Plug and Play”, “Firmware”, “Socket 7”, “Boot Sector”, “Turbo Button”, “Voodoo2”, “CRT” and “Ctrl + Alt + Del”. It is the first since 2024’s “Hardwarez”.

The advance single does two jobs at once. “Plug and Play” comes with a video, and the video is the trailer for “No Trace Back”, a racing game in development at Theta Division Games — the studio behind VirtuaVerse, which Vittorio D’Amore produced and scored — which he describes as “a racer in pure vector graphics, in the line of the early arcade classics”, with VR support planned. A free demo is up on the studio’s site. “Every MASTER BOOT RECORD album ships with one melodic anthem,” says D’Amore. “‘PLUG AND PLAY’ is the purest build of that code: no drivers, no setup, it just runs.”

At Razzmatazz they play as a trio: D’Amore on music, guitars and computers, Edoardo Taddei on lead guitar and Giulio Galati on drums. D’Amore started the project in 2016 and has sixteen albums out; he has been on Metal Blade since 2020.

Fulci are an Italian death metal band named after Lucio Fulci who frame their albums as soundtracks to blood-soaked films. Arottenbit is a Milan project founded in 2008 that makes music with a Game Boy, somewhere between chiptune, sludge, hardcore and techno.

The last time Master Boot Record played Barcelona was 4 October 2025, at Apolo, on a bill shared with Igorrr and Imperial Triumphant. They played seven songs, and opened with “CONFIG.SYS”.
