David Hazeltine plays Jamboree on Friday 23 October in two sets, at seven and at half past eight. It’s in Sala 3, general admission is €24 and members pay €20, and each set is ticketed separately. Promoted by MasiMas Live.
Hazeltine had Chet Baker as a mentor when he was young and has been playing the New York scene for decades. The venue counts thirty-five albums under his own name and hundreds more as a sideman, with Ron Carter, Al Foster, George Mraz and Eric Alexander among the names he has recorded with. Barcelona’s Ignasi González fills out the trio on double bass, with German drummer Xaver Hellmeier behind the kit.
Neither the venue nor the promoter says which record he is touring behind, or what he will play. The last entry in his catalogue is the four-track EP “Reflections”, from 2025.
