Bullet For My Valentine release “Social Apocalypse” on Friday 19 March 2027 through Spinefarm. It runs to ten tracks, was produced by Carl Bown and is the Welsh band’s eighth album, six years on from the self-titled record of 2021.
The title track is already out with a video, as the first single. Two guests appear: Will Ramos of Lorna Shore on “I Don’t Trust Tomorrow”, and Chrissy Costanza of Against The Current on “In The Absence of You”. The rest of the album is “Here Without You”, “Acid Rain”, “Fragile”, “CVLT”, “Masquerade”, “Read Between The Lines” and “Enough Is Never Enough”.
Matt Tuck places the title outside the band: “Everything in life is changing at such a rapid pace, and it is hard to find a great deal of positivity when you look at events in the world.” On Bown, who has worked on their previous records, he says: “Carl doesn’t let you settle. He is always ready to speak up, push and challenge you to be the best version of you.”
The tour that carries the album’s name reaches Barcelona before the album does: they play Sant Jordi Club on 23 January 2027, with Pendulum and Dark Divine, two months to the day before the release date.
