Amon Amarth play Sant Jordi Club on Friday 13 November, with Soilwork and Orbit Culture. It’s the Catalan date of “The Allfather Awakens” tour, in support of the album of the same name, out 2 October through Metal Blade. Tickets from the first on-sale phase are already gone, and the promoter has said a second phase is coming.

They recorded the album song by song, finishing each track whole — drums, guitars and vocals — before starting the next, instead of the usual method of tracking all the drums first and all the bass afterwards. Sessions were split into two blocks, spring 2025 and March 2026, at Jacob Hansen’s studio in Denmark.

Swedish band Amon Amarth have spent more than three decades playing Viking death metal — they formed in Tumba in 1992 —, with Vikings, battles and Norse mythology as the sole subject of their lyrics ever since their debut, “Once Sent from the Golden Hall” (1998).
