Steven Wilson released “A Basket of Bees” on Monday, track nine of “Requiem for a Village” and the third to be shared from it. His ninth solo album is due out on 6 November via Fiction Records. Released as a single, the song comes with a video from The Village Hall Sessions, the same series of in-studio performances he used to premiere the title track on 11 September.

Wilson plays alongside Randy McStine and Russell Holzman, with Shelby Logan Warne guesting on backing vocals. The video was shot by Miles Skarin, who also worked with Wilson on 2025’s “The Overview”.

Four days after the release, on Tuesday 10 November, Wilson will talk about the record with comedian and Prog Awards host Al Murray at Bush Hall in Shepherd’s Bush, London. The event starts at 8pm, and Wilson will sign copies of “Requiem for a Village” afterwards. Tickets are on sale through Dice.
