Obscura have cancelled the final three shows of their Mexican tour: Mexico City, Monterrey and Durango. They had played five.

“Due to the promoter’s failure to meet essential logistical and organizational obligations, we are unable to proceed with these shows as planned,” the band’s statement reads, asking ticket holders to contact their point of purchase for a refund. The band says it wants to reschedule the three dates in 2027 with a different local partner.

The run was part of the tour for “A Sonication”, the eight-track album Steffen Kummerer’s band released on 7 February 2025 through Nuclear Blast, and they shared it with Abysmal Dawn, Thulcandra and Orion Rise.

The band’s European tour, Shred Fest, runs from 20 January to 27 February 2027 with Pestilence, Cryptic Shift, Thus and Dvrk. The Catalan date is 5 February at the Wolf in Barcelona.
